Virtual Reading vs Physical Reading: People's Preferences

The Future Of The Future Of Books

As quoted "The more you read, The more you grow" is quite true to what it states as it is essential to at least spend 30 minutes reading any book of your choice.
People nowadays prefer e-books over print books. As it is an individual's opinion for the same. In the past few years, I have come across people who are more inclined to virtual reading and enjoy it the most. There are very few in my observation were I see people carrying a book rather than a Kindle or an iPad.

To solve the questions in my mind I made a google form and shared it with my friends and collogues to get a figure of what they prefer the most and solve the scattered questions in mind.
There were a total of 69 responses, with the age group of people from 21- 30 years.
The questions were as follows:

1. What do they prefer? ( Ebook or Print Book)
The analysis of this question came out to be where 75 percent of people prefer books over ebooks. I can truly feel why people choose books because they have they give a feeling and pleasure of reading which we cannot experience while reading an ebook.

2. How much time do you spend reading? ( in hours)
People spent not more than an hour towards reading and that seems fine as it's essential to devote at least 30 minutes which I already mentioned. And other reading enthusiasts like me spend more than 2 hours in reading.

3. If ebook reader, which e-reader do you prefer?
And the most known answer to this is Kindle and I would prefer kindle to if recommending an e-reader.

4. Do you agree: "E-books will eventually become a more popular form of book publishing"
As we are aware of how technology has evolved our lives and people are addicted because it eases our work. Ebook has evolved the reading culture over time and 81 percent of people think ebook will be the future of reading and learning. People will no be able to feel the smell of the first page of the book if the future accepts ebook.

To sum up, despite rising sales ebooks have no position to take over print books. What hasn't changed is people still love to read and spare their little time in their busy schedules. I personally prefer books because my reading speed eyes contradict more while reading a book and it's the opposite in ebook. Reading online also leads to distraction due to different applications been run simultaneously. Our upcoming generation will be more engrossed with digital learning and reading to lessen the burden of books and save environmental resources.
