Half Day Picnic Scenes
Saturday 26,2020
This pandemic had really got all of us stuck at home but still people where travelling but that didn't apply for my family as they weren't allowing for a trip or anything so we friends decided to go to one day picnic in Ahmedabad itself which indeed turned out to be a half-day picnic but a worthy on.So it was planned with my ex-office colleagues the Ahmedabad University where are used to work before. So it was Me, Riddhi and Keita we three decided to travel with our two-wheelers in this bone-chilling winter morning to Thol Bird Sanctuary which is around 25 km and take 45 mins to reach and well it was worth getting up at 5am in the morning to watch the most beautiful winter sunrise. While were on the way to Thol there were a herd of camels in the farm and the sight was just splendid to my eyes.
Thol is an artificial lake in Mehasan District surrounded with different species of birds, cranes etc and people take a brief walk above the lake on the semi constructed road half of mud and some bricks. People spend time with their loved ones to create reminiscence. It was just pleasing to be at a place where you felt alive by soaking in the positivity.
We made amazing memories and captured it on our phone and heart forever.
Well, then we planned to go to a stud farm which was on the way back to Ahmedabad while returning from Thol. Well, while returning we messed up with the navigation and luckily after 2 hours of driving and exploring half of Ahmedabad roads we reached our destination. So basically stud farm is a horse-riding farm where they teach you how to ride and they take care of the horses.
I was not a fan of horse riding earlier when I used to ride them in school days, but yesterday I just loved it after so many years and felt the sense of nostalgia. The horse was pure white beauty and had some brown spots on it. It was a Marwari horse named Aravalli and is 8 years old. As the trainer informed it had won many national awards and has set records which is unbeatable. The trainer briefed us the basic rules and guided us excellently.
Indeed the time we spent at the picnic was just thrilling. adventurous and filled with lots of memories which is going to be cherished by me and friends for the rest o our lives.
