How Education has got Effected/Impacted due to CoronaVirus Pandemic

Coronavirus has effected the whole growth of the nation. It has affected all sectors like oil and petrol, finance, hospitality, tourism, and education. There isn't any sector that might have not been affected during this crisis. In a matter of weeks, coronavirus has changed and affected how the students are been educated.
As we are aware, schools and universities have been shut down and there is no notice when will it reopen.
The pandemic has cost a huge loss onto the Educational Sector. And if the virus keeps on gradually rising then it will become very difficult for the schools and universities to reopen.

The government has been bringing effective measures for the student-teacher relationship to be intact. They are teaching them through video calling and this has become widely acceptable means of communication. People all over the world are using this tool effectively.

Pandemic has affected more than 500 million students' careers globally. Here I mentioned the figure of the only school going students and this excludes universities student. Entrances exams, University selection exam, Boards have all been postponed and rescheduled. We are roughly 6 months behind the actual qualification needed. Public and Private sector universities both have been affected immensely because of this pandemic and schools/ universities are bearing a huge loss.Schools/universities not only pay to faculty but they have other rent bearing to, such as infrastructure, electricity, etc. Therefore faculties and working employees are been paid less as earlier, bonuses and increments are been declined so other petty expenses.
Schools/universities are one of the immerging sectors that were helping the government to fight the recession.

Students who applied in International universities across the world will try not to take admission abroad because the cases are immensely high, maybe the demand to study abroad may decline.
Also because of low-income people will not be able to afford to study in international universities which will affect both university and the interested students.
Several institutions may stop hiring faculty for the vacancies and will try to focus and continue with the existing faculties.

Technology has been playing a vital role during the lockdown, where teachers and students are been conferencing via online means. A study from home, work from home has become the crucial ingredient for the education to be ongoing. Not just universities and schools but also coaching institutes have come with virtual teaching among their students.
The main benefit of online teaching which is less cost-efficient, where only your internet charges are effected. I suppose this tends to continue(pandemic) do you think it is feasible to pay a large number of fees to the school if the online teaching mechanism is cheaper and efficient.
And the disadvantage is students may face concentration problems because young minds require personal assistance more the developed and matured students.

The major issue students may face is after their graduation and masters will students be recruited for jobs because if we see the current scenario the Indian Economy has diminished and the economy has shown a fall in unemployment during this pandemic.

I hope this pandemic ends soon and things seem to back in normal as before.
Just a thought what if students enjoy engaging themselves in virtual teaching then what will happen to schools and universities? What changes will fees be for the schools/ universities? what impact in the future will it have in the educational sector if online teaching would be advisable and how will the government cope up with recession?

Comments

  1. Be more specific
The reasons you have mentioned can come up in any layman's mind within a second.
You have written "shown a fall in unemployment during this pandemic"
Fall in unemployment numbers is a good thing
Rise in unemployment numbers is a cause of concern.
Again alot of room for improvement.
