Mens and Mental Health

1 in 3 Aussie Men Fear Discussing Mental Health at Work Could Risk ...
Mental health as we are aware is a less touched and discussed topic in India, which I supposedly feel this topic should be prioritized and given more importance. Good mental health is as significant as oxygen for us to breathe and survive.
Men and Women both face mental illness, but the ratio is higher in women as compared to men. People mostly talk about the issues faced to women but when it comes to men people don't like to actually word it out.
Men with mental illnesses are also less likely to have received mental health treatment than women.
It doesn't mean they aren't suffering from it, It just defines they are not able to discover and analyze it
In the male-dominated society, men are accustomed to being perfect without any defaults.
Men face several complications, yet they hesitate to express just because cultural expectation has taught and made them fragile.

In my previous workplace, I worked with university students and they used to come over and talk about how they actually were facing issues of mental health and coping it by themselves. I tried to listen to them and consult them with ideas they could apply in their everyday life.

I have met people who aren't aware of mental health issues and they think this just a phase that doctors are phrasing out words to bring out more forms of problems and issues. Some find it difficult to identify if they facing any kind of illness because they aren't well educated about this topic.

Men generally don't voice their emotions and admit it. They let it eat their mind from that thought itself. There are men who are really trying hard to overcome this issue and communicate. When you try to speak to someone about your health you have a sense of relief as you see solutions to the problems that will help you to have an easy living life. Mental health could be understood by people who have gone through the phase and understood the symptoms.
Toxic masculinity affects the mind of itself and also spoils the relationship with their dear ones.
Men who adhere to traditionally masculine cultural norms, such as risk-taking, violence, dominance, the primacy of work, need for emotional control, desire to win, and pursuit of social status, tend to be more likely to experience psychological problems such as depression, stress, body image problems, substance abuse, etc.

Celebrities have been talking about mental illness more often in their interviews. They have the nerve to speak to the mass community owing to the fact that they have a huge support team to help them overcome and by this means they are spreading awareness as a whole.

Zayn Malik, in one of his interviews, mentioned his anxiety issues and eating disorders and how badly he wanted to seek help and get treated.
