Let us be kind to our Grief and Sufferings

Heartbreak/Grief is an emotion that mentally drains you because losing someone, seeing your loved ones hurt, etc is painful. People say it is hard to fix what is already been broken because broken pieces can't give us the original beauty back which is true. It is not always a lover breaking your heart that's not just the cause of heartbreak. There are different levels of grief which people go through in their everyday life. This has a negative impact on our mental health which leads to depression, anxiety, hypertension, etc.  It also leads to eating issues, sleep-deprived, lack of motivation, self-doubt, weight gain/ loss, and in a general sense a whole nervous breakdown. Men and Women equally get affected by the pain of heartbreak. The only difference is the way they handle the emotions and overcome it.  Why does it hurt so much? Studies have shown that people face heartbreak because our hormones release some glands to our brain where we feel emotional pain as same as physica...

Overcome your Fears and Focus on your Goals

Fears are the reason why we aren't able to conquer our goals and many other desirables ."What will society say", "Will I be accepted if I do this particular work", "What if I'm not able to succeed" and many more thoughts cross our mind before we actually step to achieve our goals. It happens with everyone for once in their life when they actually have to face the trauma of self-growth. I have this kind of emotion every time I try to vanquish my desires. We shouldn't focus on the existing fears and let's imagine the possibilities and set our goal that will have a greater impact on our development.  There are ways that I follow whenever I negative thoughts if  I will be able to attain or not. I write down the pros and cons. Make the list of things that I need to achieve timely so I don't miss out any vital thing I make sure to present myself a bit different than last year and measure the dynamics Try to analyze methods to negotiate with m...

Nostalgia and Childhood

Image
Childhood is the most treasured part of life. Everything about childhood is magnificent and mesmerizing. Yesterday morning Me my parents just wanted to go back to those golden days so we thought to gape through my childhood albums. That nostalgic moment could be sensed in the air how my mom started to babber about my infancy as soon as she saw the photos and how my dad started to cherish my cuteness and innocence. Everything about my childhood was magical as I'm the firstborn. It is the most astonishing feeling and emotion to vibe about childhood memories. The only imagination we understood being kids was endless fun. The only state of mind we focused on was to play with safety measures guarded by our elders. Every photo in the album had a story behind it and my parents reminisce each and every minute detail about it. Most of childhood days were spent at my maternal grandparents' home as I was born there in Bangalore. There was one photo of me in some bright dress and I was pos...

Life is a Puzzle

How uncertain our lives could be in the current moment. Life truly is a mystery and as random as it seems.  The demise of young individuals has inclined in the imminent years. People seem to have lost the hope of living and don't understand the beauty of it. For the record, suicide is the second leading cause of death. The prime reason for the increasing rate of suicides is "Mental Health Crisis" which I have talked about in my earlier blogs.  We avoid talking about it but we don't understand its as crucial as breathing. Young mankind is suffering from depression and many other health factors. They may be physically healthy but psychologically/ psychiatrically weak. The context to bring in knowledge about the matter and talk about it came with the saddening news of the death of the most passionate actor of our generation Sushant Singh Rajput who said to be was battling with depression for 6 months. It is aching to come across such news in the middle of nowhere. The i...

Pandemic effect on lifestyle : Before and After

As we all conversant with how this pandemic has affected our lives and livelihood. All over the global human creature and environmental species have suffered to a great extend. Everyone is trying to cope with difficulties that have evolved with the pandemic. People are hoping for a vaccine that is said to be made up by 2021 which like waiting at least 6 months more. The virus is gradually inclining and with a recovery rate of 49 percent which is good news to see a ray of hope to fight the virus and be back to our normal life but yet the cases are escalating too. A lot of people have suffered and lost their loved ones in this critical year. Doctors and health facilities have tried "plasma therapy" where the doctors have not yet mentioned the accurate measure of its cure towards the patient. As we all knew our life was beautiful, messy, complicated, adventurous, career orientated, and epic before. Natural and natural habitat was not pure. Pollution rate touched the peak in stat...

Virtual Reading vs Physical Reading: People's Preferences

Image
As quoted "The more you read, The more you grow" is quite true to what it states as it is essential to at least spend 30 minutes reading any book of your choice.  People nowadays prefer e-books over print books. As it is an individual's opinion for the same. In the past few years, I have come across people who are more inclined to virtual reading and enjoy it the most. There are very few in my observation were I see people carrying a book rather than a Kindle or an iPad. To solve the questions in my mind I made a google form and shared it with my friends and collogues to get a figure of what they prefer the most and solve the scattered questions in mind. There were a total of 69 responses, with the age group of people from 21- 30 years. The questions were as follows: 1. What do they prefer? ( Ebook or Print Book)  The analysis of this question came out to be where 75 ...

Becoming - Netflix Documentary Review

Image
Becoming- A Netflix Documentary on Michelle Obama the First Lady of America is a 1 hour 30 min documentary full of accomplishment, proficiency, and growth from her book tour. The book is still on my reading list but I thought to first watch the documentary about her journey and some hardship she faced being the first "Black First lady". The documentary is all about her interviews during her book tour with Ophrah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Phoebe, Canon O'Brien, Gayle King, and Stephen Colbert. The interview has also embraced her mother, her brother, husband, and kids some vital people in her life. Mrs. Obama is been seen rounding herself with teenage girls where the girls have the privilege to ask her questions and get inspired by her philosophy on life and moreover on her hardships as a first "Black First lady". She is seen communicat...

Empathy and Power

The quote " I f you are emotionally attached to your tribe ,   religion or political leaning   to   the   point that truth and   justice become secondary   considerations,   your   education and exposure are useless.   If you   cannot reason beyond petty sentiments,   you   are   a   liability ." by Chuba Okadigbo. Should this make we all rethink our own philosophies and how we engage in more civil conversations, knowing that our truths may not be the only truths or that they are not above all other. We leaders should think and act according to the grievance and enhance our mindset according to the change required. It is vital to challenge our own mindset, embrace the diversity and debate for justice. People are solely attached to their culture and ethics, where they don't try to acknowledge the circumstance that one has to suffer from.  Our education system has not formed us to face the real world crisis. It ha...

8 minutes and 46 seconds: Black and White Fight in the 21st Century

Image
As we all are aware of the death of 46year old George Floyd in Minnesota, where his death is stated as a murder by the police officer where he was pinned down to his throat and he was unable to breathe for 8 minutes 46 seconds because he was accused of buying cigarettes with counterfeit $20 bill. His last words were when choked by the officials were " I can't breathe", Please don't kill me", "Mama" which became a word of mouth for the protestors. The Americans have always shown their racist attitude towards black and brown and it has been witnessed for a prolonged period. American racial community has depended on the American African community disputes and dynamism in attitude. Later when the examiner of the US official examined his body it was found that he lost his due to lack of oxygen. He was a ho...

Infibulation: Something we were not aware about

Image
Ever witnessed about the word" Infibulation". Infibulation is the practice of excising the clitoris and labia of a girl or woman and stitching together the edges of the vulva to prevent sexual intercourse. The vagina is sealed leaving a small hole for the woman to menstruate and urinate. The girl's legs are been tied up with the rope for 15- 40 days to let the stitches and wound heal. The stitches reopen on the wedding night with the help of the husband so he can be intimate with her. Just imagining this brings shivers down the spine exactly what mental trauma she might go through and when those stitches open and she has to have sex. The pain she goes through is unexplainable.                                        I was referring to the ...
